The Black Pearls Society is a sisterhood created to nurture, train, and sustain the culture of the strong Black woman in generations of women of all ages. Our Black Pearls Jam is a part of our Arts and Virtuosity initiative to honor our rich culture and history.

This is a dynamic experience inclusive of both local and international artists. Previous Pearls Jams have featured world renown artists, Eric Benèt and Stokely. The 2024 Pearls Jam brings you The Original Human Beatbox, Doug E. Fresh.

This is an outdoor event, rain or shine; food trucks will be available, as well as a cash bar.

Fresh’s peers have dubbed him the “World’s Greatest Entertainer” and the “Original Human Beatbox.” During his nearly 40-year career, he has etched himself into the annals of music history with his creation of the human beatbox art form, whereby he vocally simulates the sounds of drums and other musical instruments with stunning accuracy. His unrivaled skill and myriad talents have resulted in an enduring legacy that continues to break new ground.
